Service Description

An individually tailored programme that incorporates strategies to work in accordance to the client's goals. Learn to use clay-based approaches to understand how the dyslexic mind works and how it learns best. It is important to note that Dyslexia is commonly viewed as a condition. Increasingly, it is viewed as an ability that gives rise to learning barriers, which affects each individual uniquely. The term ‘Dyslexia’, within the Davis Method, is used as an umbrella term to describe other related ‘conditions’ labelled as: dyscalculia, the maths form of dyslexia; dysgraphia, the writing form of dyslexia; dyspraxia, when movement, balance and sense of space is affected and ADHD, when the individual’s sense of time is affected – where their internal time is too fast (ADHD) or too slow (ADD) to that of what is considered normal. So a typical Dyslexia programme will have elements of correcting dyspraxia and attention difficulties, if this is appropriate.
